Belaïli puts on a show with Brest

A duel of Algerians took place in Ligue 1 Uber Eats between Youcef Belaïli and Haris Belkebla’s Stade Brestois, and Akim Zedadka’s Clermont Foot.

If the SB29, largely maintained, does not have much left to play at the end of the championship, the men of Michel Der Zakarian are however transformed into serious itchy hair for their opponents.

Thus, after overcoming Lyon (who was looking to regain confidence) then Metz (who was fighting for its survival in L1), Brest this time beat Clermont, who could hope to take off on the barrage Saint-Étienne.

The decision was made in two minutes for the teammates of Haris Belkebla, still interesting and who played the entire match. Yet reduced to 10 from the 22nd minute, the Brestois opened the scoring in the 59th minute thanks to a very nice corner from Youcef Belaïli that Mounié, then Brassier, took over victoriously (1-0).

In the 61st minute, the left winger of the Greens got up very quickly after a big tackle then delivered a love from the center outside of the foot for this same Steve Mounié who, this time, scored directly (2-0). In very good shape, Belaïli left his place in the 67th minute, exhausted, to the applause of the spectators present at the Stade Francis-Le-Blé.

Thanks to this victory, Brest is 11th, just 4 points behind OL, while Akim Zedadka, probably the best Clermont player today, sees his team remain 17th with only two points ahead of AS Saint- Stephen.
