Eric Olhats, former adviser to Antoine Griezmann, suspected of sexual assault on minors

The former adviser and mentor of Antoine Griezmann was arrested and placed in police custody on Wednesday morning, according to Actu Pays-Basque and Le Parisien. The Ile-de-France media evokes several acts of sexual assault on minors and the news site reports a recent complaint for rape. This would have been filed in Bayonne and would have triggered this new procedure. Other reports of touching and sexual assault have been reported by investigators.

The dates would go back to the end of the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s. Eric Olhats was then responsible for the training of young people within the Basque club. The victims would be underage players at the time, according to the two media. Olhats became a scout for Real Sociedad in 2002. The Spanish club where he brought Antoine Griezmann, then living in Mâcon, at the age of 13. He hosted the future international for six years and continued to advise him until 2016.
