OBesides attracting the best tennis players in the world, the ATP1000 tournament in Madrid is also known for its taste for innovation. More or less good taste depending on the year. A few years ago, the ball boys had been replaced by mannequins. An initiative that had not failed to provoke an outcry. More recently, forced to play on blue clay, the players had not hidden their disapproval. This week, it’s a rather special security guard who has been talked about. Called Yellow because of its yellow color, the agent is a dog robot created by the American company Boston Dynamics, which called it Spot. Supposed to contribute to the reinforcement of the security of the 300,000 spectators of the tournament, the entry into the running of Yellow – integrated within the device of the security company Proségur – ended in a masterful flop.
