Suspected bacteria: Carmel Maadanim withdraws kebabs from sale – © Infos-Israel.News

Here’s the Independence Day ‘gift’ for barbecue lovers: Carmel Maadanim is pulling the popular barbecue product Kabab nana tsnobar from the shelves after Tel Aviv’s food control department detected the bacterium Clostridium perfringens in it.

The company said they were kebab wrappers with an expiration date of June 19, 2022 and a production date of April 14, 2022.

The management of the company asks people who have purchased this product not to consume it, because Clostridium perfringens is the causative agent of human food poisoning and can cause abdominal pain and diarrhea.
