“My concept is innovative. To my knowledge, it does not exist elsewhere in France. Aged 29, Élodie Clément created her company in June 2021: Animaloute. “I sell food and accessories for dogs, cats and rodents, at home,” she explains. “I deliver the products within a radius of 40 kilometers around Nance, where I am based. »
Pet shop experience
After eight years of experience in a pet store, located in Bletterans, Élodie Clément made an observation: “In stores, we see few animals, even less cats. When I go to clients’ homes, this allows me to do a personalized follow-up, to see if the animal has gained or lost weight, if its coat is dull, if its eyes runny or if there is gingivitis. I can then best advise its owners, and simplify their lives. But, I am not a veterinarian! »
“An increased selection”
In general, when she sells croquettes, Élodie Clément visits her customers once a month. Delivery is free above 49 euros of purchases.
La Jurassienne works with two main suppliers. “I had to make a very increased selection of products,” she explains. “For example, there are 400 brands of kibble. I did some research to find the best value for money. »
To carry out her project, the entrepreneur benefited from the support of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts. Subsequently, she wants to offer other services such as grooming and dog training.
