United States: Designer George Perez, figure of Marvel and DC heroes, died at 67

The world of cinema and comics is in mourning. George Perez, the superhero designer at Marvel and DC Comics has died.

One of his close friends, Constance Eza, announced it on the artist’s Facebook page.

“George left yesterday peacefully, at home with his friends alongside his wife of 490 months and his family,” she wrote.

The famous designer died at the age of 67 following pancreatic cancer, according to announcements from his entourage.

STARTING AT MARVEL IN THE 1970S

The modeler had his start at Marvel in the 1970s where he worked on the Avengers and the Fantastic Four.

He then approached serious competitors from Marvel, DC where he collaborated on the film “Young Titans” but also on the “Wonder Woman” project in the late 1980s.
