WEISSENHAUS, Germany, May 12 (Reuters) – There is still interest in reviving the international agreement on Iran’s nuclear program, a French diplomatic source said on Thursday, without hiding his pessimism about the ability of the United States to United and Iran to quickly reach a compromise on their differences.
“The negotiation is at a standstill. An agreement was ready in the smallest details since March but since then the negotiation has stalled on a bilateral subject between Iran and the United States”, explained this source before a meeting of the Ministers of Affairs of the G7 in Germany.
This source also called the arrest of two French nationals in Iran a “provocation”.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously denounced this “unfounded” arrest and demanded the immediate release of the two people arrested, a couple who went on vacation to Iran. nL5N2X43VI
